神華美、威嚴的聖殿，因製造偶像，將被看如污穢之物（結7章）

論到耶和華妝飾華美的殿，他建立得威嚴，他們卻在其中製造可憎可厭的偶像，所以這殿我使他們看如污穢之物。我必將這殿交付外邦人為掠物，交付地上的惡人為擄物，他們也必褻瀆這殿。（結 7：20-21）

以西結先知約三十歲蒙召做先知，當時約西元前592年，距離猶大國亡國的西元前586年僅剩六年。以西結先知是第二批被擄的人，第一批被擄的包含但以理一行人。以西結先知在巴比倫發出預言，同時間是耶利米先知在猶大國發預言。這好比有兩隻號筒在猶大國、巴比倫國，同時發出警告的響聲。

聖殿如同今天我們的身體。

豈不知你們是神的殿，神的靈住在你們裏頭麼？若有人毀壞神的殿，神必要毀壞那人。因為神的殿是聖的，這殿就是你們。（林前 3：16-17）

當時候神的殿，是神所鍾愛的，神在所羅門王建殿的時候，神給他一切的榮美。但是因為以色列百姓在神的聖殿中製造偶像，神就使他被世人看為污穢，任憑惡人任意對待。今天我們也是神的殿，我們是否也在心中製造可憎可厭的偶像？經上說：「若有人毀壞神的殿，神必要毀壞那人。」，也就是說若有某人傷害我們，神必加倍報復那人。因為：

親愛的弟兄，不要自己伸冤，寧可讓步，聽憑主怒．〔或作讓人發怒〕。因為經上記着：「主說：『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」（羅 12：19）

因為我們是神的殿，所以誰欺負我們、毀壞我們，神必加倍報應那人。但是，若是這位傷害我們的，是我自己呢？當然，神也必消滅我，因為我不愛惜這神所給的殿。

當我們不願意保守聖潔，任憑罪惡、污穢、淫亂使我們這聖靈的殿蒙羞時，我們就是在傷害神的殿。包含在我們自己的裡面製造偶像，也就是崇拜主耶穌以外的人、事、物，這就是在這殿中製造偶像。曾有原本是神裝飾華美、建立得威嚴的工人，卻因高抬自己成為偶像，最後甚至荒淫犯罪，被神棄絕。

神的殿也可以指我們今天的教會。今天若有人在教會中高舉自己，想要用超越基督教訓的異端，試圖抬高自己的可見度、知名度，企圖影響弟兄姊妹的純正信仰，那麼他已經在神的殿中製造了可憎可厭的偶像。若教會因他自高自大的影響，越來越多人去擁護這樣的人成為粉絲，神也將會任憑這樣的教會被消滅。在日本曾有這樣脫離聯總的真耶穌教會，從照片看到的現況，已經只剩下真耶穌教會的招牌，至於會堂，已長滿雜草。

你們要逃避淫行。人所犯的，無論甚麼罪，都在身子以外。惟有行淫的，是得罪自己的身子。豈不知你們的身子就是聖靈的殿麼？這聖靈是從神而來，住在你們裏頭的，並且你們不是自己的人。因為你們是重價買來的，所以要在你們的身子上榮耀神。（林前 6：18-20）

God’s Glorious and Majestic Temple Will Be Regarded as Something Unclean Because They Made Idols in It (Ezekiel 7)

“As for the beauty of His ornament, He set it in majesty, but they made the images of their abominations and detestable things in it; therefore I will make it an unclean thing to them. And I will hand it over to strangers as plunder and to the wicked of the earth as spoils, and they will profane it.” (Ezekiel 7:20–21)

The prophet Ezekiel was called to be a prophet at about thirty years of age, around 592 B.C. At that time, there were only six years left before the kingdom of Judah was destroyed in 586 B.C. Ezekiel was among the second group of people taken into exile. The first group included Daniel and his companions.

Ezekiel prophesied in Babylon, while at the same time the prophet Jeremiah was prophesying in the kingdom of Judah. It was as though two trumpets were sounding warnings simultaneously—in the kingdom of Judah and in the kingdom of Babylon.

The temple is like our body today.

“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.”

(1 Corinthians 3:16–17, NASB 2020)

At that time, God’s temple was something He greatly loved. When King Solomon built the temple, God gave it all its beauty and splendor. But because the people of Israel made idols in God’s holy temple, God caused it to be regarded as something unclean in the eyes of the world and allowed wicked people to treat it as they pleased.Today, we are also the temple of God. Are we likewise making abominable and detestable idols in our hearts at will?The Bible says: “If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person.” In other words, if someone harms us, God will repay that person accordingly. For:

“Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: ‘VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,’ says the Lord.”

(Romans 12:19, NASB 2020)

Therefore, whoever oppresses us or destroys us, God will repay that person. But what if the one who harms us is ourselves? Of course, God will also destroy me, because I have not treasured or cared for the temple that God has given me.

When we are unwilling to preserve holiness and allow sin, uncleanness, and sexual immorality to bring shame upon us as the temple of the Holy Spirit, we are harming God’s temple.This also includes making idols within ourselves—that is, worshiping people, things, or matters other than the Lord Jesus. This is what it means to make idols in the temple.There have been workers who were originally beautifully adorned by God and established in majesty, but because they exalted themselves and became idols, they eventually fell into sexual immorality and other sins and were rejected by God.

The temple of God can also refer to the church today.

If someone today exalts himself in the church and attempts to use heretical teachings that go beyond the teachings of Christ to elevate his own visibility and reputation, thereby influencing the faith of the brothers and sisters, he has already made abominable and detestable idols in the temple of God.

If the church is influenced by such a person and becomes increasingly proud and self-exalting, with more and more people supporting such a person, God may also allow such a church to be destroyed.There was once such a True Jesus Church in Japan. From photographs, all that remained was the sign bearing the name of the True Jesus Church, while the church building itself had become overgrown with grass.

“Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”
